TAP news

New format for networking meetings

From February 2010 we will be changing the format of our monthly meetings at the King Charles to include opportunities for artists to perform and create a varied and entertaining celebration of the arts and creative industries. Between 7 and 9 we will be running interactive activities or talks as we have done to date. From 9 til 11.30, Freeplay, our music jamming event, will be running in the function room and a separate mic will be available downstairs for poets, creative writers and comedians.

Creative Cabins

Unfortunately, our Creative Cabin has been reclaimed by the owners who have a new tenant. We are, however, investigating new opportunities for local artists.

General news about the arts in Poole

KUBE closure

Unfortunately it appears that KUBE will be closing at the end of January 2010 because Bournemouth & Poole College has withdrawn its annual £150,000 grant. This is very disappointing after all the hard work which its staff have put in to rebrand and revitalize its offering in the last year.

Voluntary Arts Steering Group

The Arts Development Unit (ADU) at the Borough of Poole has set up a steering group for the voluntary arts. If your arts organization is not yet represented on it, and would like to be, please contact Nickola Moore at the ADU.
