Festivals

Purbeck Film Festival takes place each October and shows films in Poole and across the Purbecks.

Networking

Prequel/Sequel to Cannes - these film networking events held in Poole and specifically
tailored to, and designed for, film professionals living and working across the South Coast of England, particularly within the Wessex Region. A new script writing competition was launched in 2009.

Further education

The Arts University College offers degrees in Film Production and foundation degree/degree in Digital Media Production.

Bournemouth & Poole College offer a degree in Media Production and a foundation degree in Multimedia.

Workshops

Film Steps offers film-making workshops for 7 to 16 year olds.
